Summer is officially here beaches are open Mr.Frosty’s tune is playing we’ve had consistent 80 and degree plus days in NYC and my personal favorite schools out!
This was my first year teaching and what a year it was. There have been a whirlwind of emotions as I parted ways with my first group of students who are moving on to Junior High School. However now that the year is done I am ultimately thankful. I am thankful for the opportunity to help my students grow, learn and believe in themselves and in me. I am thankful for the hard days and the fun days we had. I am thankful to have learned from them so much and for my summer break for some rejuvenation!
While I myself will still be taking class this summer it will be a nice break to be the student rather than the teacher for a few weeks, to catch up with friends, get some sun, some leisure reading , and of-course try new restaurants.
Summer for me also means fun fashion! While I love that we get to experience the range of seasons and wardrobe, summer for me is defiantly a time to explore. Bold colors , funky prints different cuts. Although I am bias because I tend to think anything looks just a tad better with a tan. While the same holds true for this beautiful striped skirt I could bear to hold off wearing it!
The skirt was very 70 reminiscent for me and I instantly was in love especially because it was on sale. I decided to pair it with a strapless tasseled crop top and suede slip on heels. The detail of the slit was my favorite and I decided to wear the skirt just so it was slightly off centered. To finish this look I added some rustic gold accessories and my favorite gold and topaz earrings.I carried along with me my recent favorite student inspired of-course faux leather gold chain mini clasp back pack.
